Google Launched Language Translation API

The Google Translation API covers 13 languages, and it can translate blocks of text from web pages. Google has introduced this tool for translating blocks of text into multiple languages.

The Google Translation API uses Ajax and Javascript technology that identifies the language before the translation. It covers Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish and 29 translation pairs.

Google Ajax Search and Feeds team developed the API, it was created to provide a quicker translation and in the future there will added more capabilities.
