Blu-Ray Copy Protection Got Hacked

AnyDVD HD

Antigua’s Slysoft software company says that it cracked the Blu-Ray copy protection. Slysoft’s AnyDVD HD application offers unencrypted access to Blu-Ray; this allows users to copy Blu-Ray discs content on their hard drives.

Blu-Ray promised stronger protection that HD-DVD. Richard Doherty told last year that Sony’s BD+ protection won’t likely be breached for 10 years. And since he made that statement only eight months have past.

Blu-Ray’s BD+ technology offers capabilities for security updates through future disk releases, and soon Blu-Ray will be safe again.
